What: Exhibit Coordinator at the Center of Arts & History (CAH) and art instructor

When: Monday through Friday 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the CAH

Where: Main Gallery in Downtown Lewiston on Main Street

Where are you from? I am from Iran, Tehran

What did you want to be when you grew up? Coming from family of teachers, I always wanted to be a teacher

A college class that turned out to be surprisingly helpful: My history professor invited all six graduate students in art department, including me, to read about history, theory and discuss it for a semester. I learned a lot!

A quote that has impacted you: “Everything thing you can imagine is real” by Pablo Picasso. That quote helped me to grow.

A piece of art or artist who has impacted you: Ann Hamilton’s “the event of a thread” taught me to not be afraid of working in large scale.

Die-hard fan of: Persian food!

A talent you always wished you had: I wish I could play the setar, a Persian music instrument.

A great piece of advice given to you: You can do it, said by my advisor
