LCSC student receives grant from Philanthropic Education Organization

Treana Hanson has received a $1,200 grant from Philanthropic Education Organization International in their Program for Continuing Education scholarship. She is a student at Lewis Clark State College working on two certifications for Medical Coder/Biller and Administrative Medical Assistant. Hanson is a graduate from Grangeville High School from White Bird. She will finish her LCSC certifications in May 2020 and December 2020. She is shown here with Stephanie Herbert, of P.E.O. Chapter BL, of Lewiston, who presented the check to her on Friday, Jan. 17. The PCE grant provides up to $3,000 as a scholarship fund for women who had at least a 24-month break in their education and are within 24 months from graduation.
