NAIA Basketball Tournament run-down

On March 12 and 13, both the LC State’s Women’s basketball teams and the Men’s basketball team won both of their games to earn the title of Opening Round Champions.
The women’s first game was against William Jessup where they won 73- 44. Their game second game was
against Carroll College where they won 76-66 earning them a spot in the round of 16.
They were off to Iowa to play Campbellsville.
The men’s team also had great success. Their game against Benedictine-Mesa ended in 98-73, which gave them the title and a spot in the round of 16.
On March 19, the Warrior Men were set to play Oklahoma Wesleyan.
The Warrior Women played a tough fourth quarter but ultimately fell short against the Lady Tigers. They ended their season with a 14-6 record.
During the round of 16, the Warrior Men earned their spot in the semifinals after winning their game 86-72. It was a tight game against Oklahoma Wesleyan that went into overtime. With a 5 point lead in the end, the Warrior Men secured their spot against Sagu in the National Semifinals.
In the semifinal game on Monday night, the Warrior Men managed to shoot over a dozen 3-pointers. The game ended with a 27 point lead in favor of the Warriors giving them the final ticket in the final championship game.
