Tanner Landrus: “I first met the girl who would become my future girlfriend on the first day of seventh grade. We were both in band class together, and I sat next to her. We never spoke too much at first, but over time we began to speak to each other more and more. First, it was strictly about class related items, and then it turned to various other topics.
As the years went by, my feelings for her grew as we began to have more classes together. I was admittedly a bit awkward, so I never worked up the courage to ask her out.
Finally, on the last day of our senior year, I buckled down and did it. To my surprise, she agreed and admitted that she had had a crush on me for almost the same time that I had feelings for her.
We’ve been happily dating for over a year now, but the fact that I didn’t ask her out sooner is something I’ve always regretted as it would’ve allowed us to spend much more time together as a couple. Nevertheless, I’m happy that we ended up together and look forward to what the future has in store for us.”
